Whistler Retreat Tee 2019

Each year, Taphandles brought the whole team up to Whistler for our annual company retreat, and part of the tradition was a team-designed t-shirt to commemorate the trip.

For 2019, my concept paired a retro stripe treatment in cream, gold, and light blue with a maple leaf mark silhouetted with a mountain range, a nod to both the Canadian setting and the terrain we were there to ride. With a crew that spanned a wide range of ages and styles, I wanted a design with enough graphic weight and personality to hold its own, rather than something flattened into a safe, one-size-fits-all logo tee. Shown here are a few of my concepts alongside the final design, selected as the winning shirt for the year.
